EPISODE 1: Starting the Journey with a Green Finger

Green Finger
In today’s post, we’ll be introducing the use of indoor plants as one of the ways to nourish our souls. While it may sound scary to have indoor plants due to its sensitive needs, it’s actually easier once you know how to care and nurture them.

Chill, chill. This is how it works.

A. Key Environment

Sitting and watching the sunlight move throughout the space, it is so peaceful.

To ensure that the benefits of the plants are fully maximized, its needs would have to match that of your space of choice. Below are two important points that we would emphasize on;
Think of your environment as a living space for your plants where they need the appropriate amount of sunlight to flourish. Does your environment have loads of natural lighting, i.e., windows? Does it have access to indirect lighting? Is it a completely windowless area? If it is, then you’ll need the use of artificial lighting to substitute the sun to ensure that your plants continue to flourish.

In that case, you may be wondering what artificial lights are. Well, it is equipped with nutrition for plant health and an example would be something similar to this.
In addition tothe above, these two subpoints will make or break your plants. If your space is dry and scorchy, your plants will be miserable and if your space has a low temperature but a high humidity, it could also hinder your plant’s growth. What you need is a balance of 40 – 50% humidity and indoor temperature of 15 to 24C.

I would highly recommend a digital hygrometer—it’s a monitor to measure the temperature and humidity—because it’s easier and cheaper to purchase. One typical example would be this ; now that many types of digital hygrometer are available in the market, you can even decide whether you want to purchase it online or in a brick-and-mortar store.

B. Plant Of Choice

Now that you are armed with a rough idea of your space, it’ll make life much easier on your journey to search for the perfect plants. If you have no idea on types of indoor plants to look for, don’t worry because it’s not the end.

On the coming episode, we’ll suggest reading the Best 5 Types for Condo Indoor Plants and how they would complement in the space. So, here you go guys, watch this space, follow us every Thursday, so you wont miss out any of one of them.
